Typically, “roaches in the attic” doesn’t sound like something positive. Just a few minutes away in Herndon, though, it couldn’t be much better.
Founded by owners Pam & Doug Roach in 1990, Roaches in the Attic Antiques is a Herndon hidden gem, showcasing more than 1500 square feet of antiques. With so much space—and the countless surprises filling it—you’re sure to find something you’ll love. In particular, Roaches in the Attic is a collector’s dream. Must-find items like Depression glass, vinyl, and early American pattern glass fill the shelves, rivalling the piles your own grandparents collected. Furniture, too, takes up its share of display space, with chests of drawers and tables just waiting for a place of honor home with you.
Of course, half the fun of antiquing lies in not knowing just what you’ll uncover. Roaches in the Attic showcases a few featured items and categories of collectibles on their website but, like any treasure hunt, you’ll have to set off on a search to discover what all you can find. A simple tchotchke or piece of furniture you’re not sure will fit in your car? The choice is up to you. << Back To Blogs
