‘Sleighs & Neighs’ Has Returned to Reston Town Center

Every Saturday from now through December 21 you’ll be able to celebrate the holiday season with a bit of fun, thanks to Reston’s annual "sleighs & neighs" tradition. Starting at noon, the city offers family-friendly mini train rides through the streets of Reston Town Center (little ones are especially excited when the train blows its whistle). As dusk begins to fall (around 4:30) the train makes its last run and a collection of old-fashioned horse-drawn carriages begin to line up along the side of the street. Climb in, tuck a blanket around your legs, and let your imagination take you back in time to when the streets were filled with graceful horse-drawn carriages.

A $5 per-person donation is requested (kids under 5 ride free), and all proceeds go to benefit local charities, so you can feel good knowing that your ride is also helping a family in need.
