The Reston Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, Sing Along & More Returns on Nov. 29

Thanksgiving may seem like a holiday based on eating, but it’s really all about spending time with loved ones. This year, your quality time can last two days with the 28th Annual Reston Holiday Parade the morning after thanksgiving. The holiday parade will start at 11 a.m. and lasts one hour. It will feature balloons, musicians, dancers, classic cars, special guests and much more for a full half-mile. Before the parade begins, they will be handing out jingle bells to all in attendance to officially welcome the holiday season.

In addition to the balloons, dancers and all the other attractions Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be joining the crowd! They will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage, that you as a guest can take a ride on between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. After the parade, the Clauses will return to join the mayor in lighting the tree and take part in a sing-along. If you don’t wish to spend the afternoon, feel free to visit the ice rink that will be open all the way through March.
