While there’s no question that Washington DC has a vibrant and storied local arts scene, it should also be noted that the western suburbs have a rich cultural life all of their own. The Washington West Film Festival hosted in Reston is just one reminder of this. Scheduled to run from October 24 to October 28 at the Reston Town Center, the festival will feature dozens of shorts, feature-length films, documentaries, international cinema, and classic films. In addition, the festival always hosts a variety of special events, including discussions and Q&A sessions with big names in the film and entertainment worlds (with figures like Tony Hale and Lauren Graham appearing on stage in recent years).
The full lineup for the 2019 festival can be found on the event’s website, along with sponsorship and ticketing information, volunteer slots, and a handful of spaces on the program for local filmmakers. << Back To Blogs
